A low carb diet or a keto diet is one of the highly restrictive diets that mainly focuses on proteins, fats, and some non-starchy vegetables, but restricts carbohydrate consumption.
So, when people go on the keto diet, they sometimes struggle with finding replacements for foods they’re used to eating, and foods they love. For a lot of people, that is chips – both tortilla chips and potato chips, the most common types of chips, are not keto-friendly.
Most chips right now are a no-go when it comes to low-carb diets. However, you don’t have to deprive yourself of eating chips because there are now plenty of choices of low carb chip options available.
Not all low-carb chips are created equally, especially when it comes to taste. Some are healthier than others, some are more flavorful than others, so you should try out different options, and see which ones are your favorites.
In this post, I’m sharing a roundup of the best low-carb chips and keto-friendly chips you can munch on without ruining your diet. Some of these are recipes for you to make at home, and some of these are recommendations for low carb chips you can buy. I also included some dip recipes that you can dip your keto-friendly chips in.

Quest Tortilla Style Chips
If you’re craving tortilla chips, these Quest tortilla-style protein chips are perfect for you! They’re not only keto tortilla chips which isn’t something you always see, but they’re also high in protein, and they’re baked, not fried, so they’re a healthier alternative than some chip options out there.
They also come in different flavors, so you can pick the one you like the most.
For the best keto snack, make a dip to dip your chips in it. My favorite dips for tortilla chips are guacamole, spinach and artichoke dip, and a greek yogurt dip.
Guacamole is super easy to make!
All you need to do is mash up some avocados, lime juice, and salt.
Then, you add tomatoes that you chopped up, onion, garlic, and cilantro. Optionally you can also add cayenne pepper. Mix it all up, and you have the perfect dip for your tortilla-style chips.
For the greek yogurt dip, simply mix greek yogurt, lemon juice, salt, pepper, dried oregano, and garlic powder.
If you also want a recipe for spinach and artichoke dip, I have an amazing lighter recipe, perfect for anything you want to eat it with!

HighKey Sea Salt Crackers
If you’re in the mood for some crackers, these HighKey sea salt ones are amazing – they’re made with almond flour, they’re gluten-free, keto-friendly, and super tasty!
You can also get them with cheddar flavor instead of sea salt, and they’re equally tasty!
They’re great on their own, with a greek yogurt dip, or even with hummus!
Or, if you’re making a low-carb charcuterie board, they’d go so well with cheese and meat!
Homemade Tortilla Chips
If you’d like to eat some tortilla chips, but you’d rather make them yourself, these homemade tortilla chips are just what you need!
They’re made with almond flour, mozzarella cheese, and seasonings. They go so well with all of the dips I mentioned above!
Wilde Protein Chips
When you’re in the mood for classic potato chips you love, but you want them to be low-carb, these Wilde protein chips will be the closest you can get to the real thing.
They’re thin, crispy, crunchy, salty, and super flavorful. They come in three flavors: himalayan pink salt, sea salt & vinegar, and chicken and waffles (yes, chicken and waffles flavored chips!). So, try them out, and see which one is your favorite.
Quevos Egg White Chips
Have you ever heard of chips made out of egg whites? Well, if you haven’t you will now!
These egg while chips are low carb, come in four different plavors, have protein, and they’re gluten free!
While I know egg while chips might not sound the most appetizing, you’ll be glad you tried them!
Genius Gourmet Chips
Another tortilla-style chip option worth trying out is this one. Everyone especially loves the nacho cheese flavor!
They have only 2 grams of net carbs per serving, and 8 grams of protein per serving, so if you’re on a low-carb diet or the keto diet, these would be great tortilla chip alternatives.
