When we eat a big load of (especially refined) carbohydrates, we get a big sugar rush… and then crash πŸ‘ŽπŸΌ After lunch – you probably want to feel energized for the rest of the afternoon right??

When making a salad πŸ₯— be sure to have good proteins and fats in there – like chicken & avocado that’s pictured here, for example πŸ’ͺ🏼

I like sticking with #1starchPerDay because it allows me to get the health benefits of the low carb approach, but also lets me eat delicious foods like pasta, pizza, etc! πŸ•πŸ

  • 1/2 avocado

  • 2 cups arugula

  • 1/2 cup cooked pasta

  • 1/2 cup grape tomatoes, halved

  • 3 strips bacon, crumbled

  • 2 Tbsp light dressing
