Freakshake Under 250 Calories
You may have seen the fun trend “freakshake” (freak-style + milkshake) on social media. It’s basically a super fun milkshake or smoothie with lots of toppings & fun ingredients, perfect for a summer snack or dessert.
With weight loss or weight management – a lot of these “freakshake” recipes aren’t usually going to be worth spending 800+ calories on, but that’s why I’m making a recipe here that’s under 250 calories just for you!
Why I Choose Real Dairy Products
I’m making this “freakshake” today with real dairy milk. As you probably know from my other blog and social media posts, I’m a proud supporter of real dairy products. Real dairy products are rich in vitamin A, vitamin D, thirteen essential nutrients and high-quality protein.
Please check out this awesome nutritional comparison between real dairy products, and non-dairy alternatives, here: https://www.californiadairypressroom.com/Press_Kit/Nutrient-Comparison-Milk-Alternate-Beverages
I try to eat dairy products throughout the whole day. Here’s an example of how I do that!
-
In the morning I add 2% milk with my coffee
-
I typically add cheese to my salads for lunch
-
I often have yogurt and crushed nuts as a snack
-
I typically top stir frys or sheet pan meals with cheese at dinner
Why I Choose Real California Milk
I’m so happy to partner with Real California Milk for this post. I look for and feel good about products with the Real California Milk seal because it means they are made with sustainably sourced milk from California dairy families. Here’s a picture of the seal so you know what to look for next time you’re at the store!
Alright let’s get to the recipe!
