As you may know, I LOVE Trader Joe’s grocery store – here are some of the benefits!
-
It’s cheap! The prices are nationally fixed – meaning, anywhere you go (even NYC, LA, and San Fran) the prices are the same (and very cheap!)
-
They have stores all over the country and are opening new ones all the time
-
They’re so responsive to their customers, they’re always taking new food and meal requests
-
They’re great with returns – I returned an open bag of cat litter Cat didn’t like the other week
So, while you’re in-store, don’t forget to check out the Trader Joe’s Frozen food section! Now, this doesn’t mean that you should be stocking up on frozen pizzas or mac and cheese. There’s a lot more going on here! Most specifically, frozen vegetables.
Frozen vegetables are GREAT to always keep in the fridge – they’re so easy for a quick dinner or easy meal prep.
Here a little review of some of my favorite frozen foods – specifically frozen vegetables at Trader Joe’s!
Best Trader Joe’s Frozen Veggies
Shakshuka starter:
Add eggs to this and you have an easy fancy brunch! With delicious spices and a dash of olive oil, this makes such a tasty meal.
Edamame:
Ok not exactly a veg, but these are also great to keep in the freezer – great protein and gluten free!
Mashed cauliflower:
Even better than riced cauliflower, get straight to the good stuff with this alternative. These are soooo good I promise! Great low carb and low cal mashed potatoes alternative. Serve beside some sweet potato or black bean veggie burgers for a healthy take on burger and chips.
Frozen green beans:
Add a little garlic to the pan before cooking (don’t defrost first) – SO good and quick and easy side dish.
Mushroom Medley:
This pre-seasoned mix is great.
Zoodles:
I find the taste better than fresh zoodles. This can be a great replacement for brown rice in meals if you’re looking to reduce your carbohydrates.
Carrot zoodles:
These are the heartiest veggie noodle alternative!
